Coach Mo
An Air Force Veteran, (Training Systems Specialist/Career Development Manager) teacher/instructor, administrator, program builder & coach.
Coach Mo, began working as a coach in the Phoenix area in 1990 at Luke Air Force base where his 56 Medical Group football teams enjoyed a 40-4 record in 4 years with 4 championship appearances (winning 3). His military training, education & experience and has given him unique and use knowledge in a wide range of areas to include training systems development, computer based instruction (CBIT/for F-16 & F-16 pilots & instructors), nutrition, & medical service corps administration on the forefront of the military's move to information technology and the use of video in training and development.
As a track coach at Peoria Centennial (1991-94), Phoenix Moon Valley (1992-98) and Desert Vista (1999-2000) and Phoenix Christian (2002- present) high Schools his athletes enjoy phenomenal success. While at Moon Valley, his Lightning Track Club (LTC) trained athletes, participating for various high schools within the region, won nearly every sprint, hurdle & long jump event in the region in 1998 and during his tenure they dominated the sports scene state-wide for years to come and was key in the development of what would be the youth club track and field movement in Arizona.
As a high school football Coach Coach Mo has been on 3 championship staffs including 2003-2004 Phoenix Christian teams with Coach Jim Rattay. Also coached Football at Moon Valley & Desert Vista, a successful stretch of coaching the finest in skilled high school football players. Also helped develop startup athletic programs at several charter schools.
Also during this period began training Football’s Simon Rice, Frank Sanders, Hall of Famer Aeneas Williams & Diamondbacks star Tony Womack, trained NFL prospects Terrell Suggs & peaked with twin 1st round selections Gaines Adams & Darrelll Revis. All pro’s Lofa Tatupu & Kelvin Hayden and others all prepped for their combines with Coach Mo at the Fischer Institute.
Coach Mo is currently managing the youth football program for the Arizona Cardinals, which has been recognized as a best practice.
